| Regional Imaging Tasmania (previously also known as MIA Tasmania, Xray South, GFX Radiology, Rush Taylor & Partners, Hobart Radiology and Hobart Isotope Imaging) has a 40 year history of providing quality imaging services to the Southern Tasmanian community. In 2009, Regional Imaging Tasmania amalgamated with GFX Radiology, MIA Tasmania and Xray South to become the largest and most comprehensive radiology service provider in the State. The amalgamation brought together the State’s premier radiologists and the most modern medical imaging equipment ensuring Regional Imaging Tasmania offer a consistently high level of service under a new ‘whole of Tasmania’ approach. At the same time, each practice remains strongly committed to the local community in which it operates, delivering effective, tailored health services. Regional Imaging Tasmania operates 16 hospital and private practice sites across Tasmania. Services include the state’s only PET/CT service, MRI, Multi-slice CT, nuclear medicine, digital mammography, ultrasound, general x-ray OPG (dental scans), bone density scanning, fluoroscopy and angiography.
