Sonographer

Location:  Southern Tasmania

Regional Imaging Tasmania the leading provider of medical imaging services throughout southern Tasmania, is looking for both full and part time sonographers to join the company’s ultrasound team. Regional Imaging Tasmania currently operates modern ultrasound facilities at Calvary Hospital, St John’s Hospital and Hobart Private Hospital as well as clinics in Glenorchy, Rosny and Kingston.

Core Competencies:

• Demonstrated ability to perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations employing correct techniques to the accepted industry standard or above. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and other medical and non-medical personnel verbally and in writing. 
• Self-motivated and committed to ongoing professional development
• Good organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks. 
• Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of Regional Imaging Tasmania. 
• Ability to adapt and respond to change. 
• Familiarity with CR and RIS/PACS. 

Qualifications:

• Possess a recognised  post-graduate qualification in diagnostic medical ultrasound  
• Eligibility for accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR)
